Early Childhood Autism Program



Workshops are a community-outreach service provided by ABOVE ALL. Each month a different topic is presented. Parents, teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior analysts, are encouraged to attend.

 

FSU-ECAP's workshops are designed to provide you with hands-on learning about a variety of topics related to autism and ABA . Workshops are one to two hours long depending on the topic. All workshops consist of a presentation about the topic, discussion, and role-play/modeling of any techniques described during the workshop.

 

Below is a sample of topics:

-Introduction to ABA and Autism -Using Reinforcement Effectively

-Communicating with Your Child using Mand Training -Using Punishment Effectively

-Research and Evaluations of Alternative Treatments -Feeding Skills and Toileting

-Using Discrete Trials and Natural Environment Training -Increasing Self Help Skills

-Developing Social Skills -Understanding the IEP

-Working through Rigid Behavior and Sensory Issues
