The Symposium Program

The events marking the Department's centennial and 50 years of graduate training in 2003 included a symposium where our early doctoral students from different racial and ethnic backgrounds provided their perspectives on graduate training at FSU and their subsequent professional careers. It was a wonderful event, with much humor and seriousness conveyed by the participants to a large audience of students and faculty. Daniel Hollar characterized this event in three documents which are available below. They make fascinating reading.
