Minji Ju – Graduate Researcher
I’m a first-year student in the CCN Program at Florida State University. My research interests center on reasoning and learning, with the goal of understanding how we think in a logical and sensible way. I aim to support students’ meaningful learning from a cognitive perspective. Outside of academics, I enjoy walking trails and cooking. I can be reached by email at mj25@fsu.edu.
Lab Alumni
Lauren Sprague
Lauren obtained her PhD in psychology from FSU in August 2025, after which she began a faculty position at Temple University. While at FSU, she was broadly interested in the development of mathematical thought. Her work explored a variety of topics, including the effects of social framing on adults’ attention to proportional relationships, the relative salience of number and area in sets of objects, and the potential usefulness of sketching as a math problem solving strategy. She can be found on Twitter @spraguepsych and can be reached by email at sprague [at] psy [dot] fsu [dot] edu.
Qiushan Liu
Qiushan obtained her PhD in psychology from FSU in August 2024. She is now an Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. While at FSU, her research interests were on the connection between executive function and mathematics development. She can be found on Twitter @qiushanliu and by email at liu [at] psy [dot] fsu [dot] edu.
